Bihar is experiencing intense political activity, characterized by rallies and strong statements. Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Rights Yatra’ has gained momentum, with the participation of southern state Chief Ministers Revanth Reddy and MK Stalin. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha criticized the Grand Alliance’s invitation to Reddy and Stalin, labeling it an affront to Bihar. He asserted that under the double-engine government, Bihar has progressed significantly and cannot be jeopardized by the actions of political figures like Rahul and Tejashwi.
Sinha accused Rahul and Tejashwi of being inherently against Sanatan values, thus supporting leaders like MK Stalin. He questioned their motives for inviting individuals with anti-Sanatan and anti-Bihar perspectives to the state, stating that the people of Bihar feel dishonored by their actions. Sinha further claimed that these leaders are acting irresponsibly, intentionally breaching security to incite disorder and later blame the government. He highlighted that the infrastructure used during their election campaigns was built by the NDA government.
A protest march organized by the Bihar Pasmanda Foundation in Patna saw slogans raised against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin. BJP leaders including Danish Iqbal and Guru Prakash Paswan condemned the actions of the visiting leaders. Paswan also accused prior governments of undermining democracy, and praised the NDA for bringing progress to Bihar.
Dr. Santosh Suman, National President of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), stated that Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have insulted Bihar by inviting those who have insulted the people of the state. Shrawan Kumar Agrawal, the National Spokesperson of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), expressed concern over the state’s law and order situation, citing recent incidents involving attacks on ministers.
Former minister Mukesh Sahni spoke at a public meeting in Muzaffarpur, emphasizing the need to defend democracy and prevent vote manipulation. Sahni accused the BJP, RSS, and Election Commission of engaging in vote theft.
