The BCB’s ACU has proposed a minimum five-year ban for batsman Minahazul Abedin Sabbir due to match-fixing allegations in the DPL. The controversy stems from a match in the 2025 season involving Shinepukur Cricket Club and Gulshan Cricket Club. The ACU’s investigation revealed violations of the BCB’s anti-corruption code, including contact with suspected bookmakers and failure to report these contacts, leading to the recommendation for a ban.
