On Ukraine’s Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his wishes to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy responded by expressing gratitude to PM Modi for the greetings. He appreciated India’s dedication to peace and dialogue and sought the country’s contribution to end the ongoing war.
PM Modi, in his letter, assured the people of Ukraine of India’s support. He mentioned India’s consistent stance in favor of peace and resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy.
Sharing PM Modi’s message on X, Zelenskyy acknowledged the efforts of the global community to find a dignified and lasting peace. He expressed his confidence in India’s ability to contribute significantly to this goal. Zelenskyy emphasized that any decision that strengthens diplomacy contributes to global security, especially in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.
