Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s visit to Japan included meetings with top officials from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Tokyo to discuss investment possibilities and industrial collaborations. Participants in the discussions included Kazuo Nakajo, Yuji Endo, and Harunobu Hara. The meeting underscored Chhattisgarh’s vast potential in IT, textiles, aerospace, automobiles, electronics, and clean energy sectors. The Chief Minister encouraged JETRO representatives to explore investment opportunities within the state’s rapidly expanding economy.

Sai pointed out that Chhattisgarh is emerging as a key location for industry and investment in India. The state government is actively attracting global investors with clear policies, streamlined procedures, and strong industrial infrastructure. The discussions with JETRO are expected to enhance economic cooperation between Chhattisgarh and Japan. During his trip, the Chief Minister also attended the ‘Deep Space – To the Moon & Beyond’ exhibition, held on National Space Day.

He stated that the display of space science and innovations would offer direction and inspiration to the Space Manufacturing Cluster being developed in Rajnandgaon district with support from the Indian government. Sai expressed his belief that the Japan visit would yield concrete outcomes in investment, innovation, and technology transfer. The Chhattisgarh government seeks to establish the state as both industrially self-sufficient and globally recognized through international partnerships.
