A resident of Hyderabad, Mahendra, has been arrested for the murder of his pregnant wife. The couple, who had relocated to Balaji Hills, Medipally, from the Vikarabad district, were involved in a dispute that led to the tragic event. After the murder, Mahendra dismembered his wife’s body and attempted to conceal the crime. He disposed of several body parts in the Musi River. He later reported his wife missing, but the authorities were suspicious. After being questioned, Mahendra confessed to the murder. Police investigations revealed that the head, hands, and legs of the deceased were thrown into the Musi River. The torso was recovered from the couple’s residence. The victim, identified as Swathi, was 21 years old and five months pregnant. Forensic analysis and a DNA test are planned. The case is now under investigation, and a fast-track trial is expected.
