In Raipur, the administration has seized the opulent bungalow of the Tomar Brothers, known for their money-lending operations. Each brother owned 1500 square feet of the property in Bhathagaon. The Raipur SDM stated that the action followed a CJM order. The seizure means no changes or sales of the property are permitted without court authorization.

The police requested the property’s seizure, prompting a final court warning to the brothers, giving them until August 18th to appear in court. Before the seizure, the municipal corporation demolished Rohit Tomar’s illegal office. Both Tomar brothers have been evading authorities for the past two months.

The situation began when property dealer Dashmeet Chawla filed a complaint at Telibandha police station, accusing Rohit Tomar of assault. Police have since been searching for Rohit. His brother, Virendra Tomar, also disappeared. Police teams were sent to multiple states in an effort to apprehend the suspects, but no arrests have been made.

    Fear among victims is diminishing.

The Tomar brothers have a history of criminal activities, and the victims were too afraid to report their offenses, even while residing in the same city. However, as the police have begun taking action against Virendra and Rohit, the victims’ fear has begun to subside.

More than six FIRs have been filed against the brothers, with victims alleging illegal extortion, threats, and violations of the Chhattisgarh Debtors Protection Act.
