The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has appointed Kuldeep Dwivedi, a dynamic Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Jharkhand cadre, as a Joint Director. A notification to this effect was released on Tuesday by the Department of Personnel and Training. Dwivedi, an IPS officer, will be joining the CBI as a Joint Director. The term of his appointment is set to end on January 17, 2026, contingent upon the completion of his five-year deputation period, or until further instructions are issued.

Simultaneously, C. Venkata Subba Reddy, an IPS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre (2007 batch), also serving as a DIG in the CBI, has been appointed as a Joint Director. His tenure will be effective until October 29, 2029, aligning with the completion of his five-year deputation, or until further orders.
