A source familiar with the matter reported that ‘iPhone 17 production has started at Foxconn’s Bengaluru factory.’ Apple and Foxconn were contacted for comment, but no response was received. The production of the iPhone 17 was briefly affected due to the sudden departure of numerous Chinese engineers. However, Foxconn mitigated this by bringing in specialists from various locations, including Taiwan.

Apple’s strategy involves expanding iPhone production to six crore units this year, a considerable jump from the 3.5 to 4 crore units produced in 2024-25. In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, Apple assembled nearly $22 billion worth of iPhones in India, a rise of approximately 60%.
