Ranchi Under Siege: Murder of ‘Kurkure’ Leads to Arrest and Investigation

Following the murder of Sahil, police, including the Kotwali DSP, along with officers from Kotwali, Lower Bazaar, Hindpiri, and Sukhdev Nagar police stations, arrived at the scene to restore order. During the operation, the police took one suspect into custody and initiated a thorough investigation into the entire matter. The victim, Sahil, also known as Kurkure, had a history of criminal activity and had been released on bail from jail recently. According to local sources, Sahil had a dispute with former councilor Aslam in jail. There was a physical altercation between the two while they were incarcerated. Sahil had been released on bail approximately a month before the incident, and he had been receiving threats from the former councilor’s brother.
