    Padmashree Dr. Dubey enhanced the prestige of Chhattisgarh in the country and abroad – Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh

    Padmashree Dr. Surendra Dubey’s last work “I Speak Chhattisgarh” was released

    Raipur, August 08, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai attended the release program of his last poetic work “I Speak Chhattisgarh” on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the late Padmashree Dr. Surendra Dubey this evening. This event took place at the Mac College Auditorium in the capital. The program was presided over by Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai, while paying tribute to Padmashree Dr. Surendra Dubey on his birth anniversary, said that he made an invaluable contribution to the promotion of Chhattisgarhi language. He was such a humorous poet who brought fame to Chhattisgarh in the country and abroad and made the state proud.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today we are releasing the last work of Dr. Surendra Dubey. He is not physically among us today, and his absence is deeply felt by all of us. This is an irreparable loss for Chhattisgarh and the literary world, which cannot be compensated.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said – “Dr. Dubey ji was a great poet who took the Chhattisgarhi language to the masses in the country and the world through his poems. Wherever he went, he took the culture, language and identity of Chhattisgarh with him. His poems not only spread laughter, but also gave deep social messages.”

    The Chief Minister said, “I had the privilege of listening to his poems on many platforms. Along with being a humorous poet, he was also a very gentle, simple and sensitive personality. He had deep compassion and awareness for the country, the state and the society. Today, on his birth anniversary, we salute him. He will always remain alive among us through his words and ideas.”

    Addressing the program, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that Dr. Surendra Dubey was such a prominent representative of Chhattisgarhi language, literature and folk culture, who gave a new direction to the state’s social consciousness and cultural pride through his writing, drama and public dialogue.

    Padmashree Shri Anuj Sharma, MLA from Dharsiwa, read the article in the program. The vote of thanks for the program was given by late Dr. Surendra Dubey’s wife, Mrs. Shashi Dubey. The program was organized by Shri Surendra Dubey Foundation.

    On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Durg MP Shri Vijay Baghel, along with a large number of public representatives and writers were present.
