A shared post further elaborated on this position, quoting a discussion between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Brazilian President Lula’s advisor, Celso Amorim, who condemned the use of tariffs as a means of coercion, viewing it as a breach of the UN Charter and a threat to the World Trade Organization. Trump’s overall tariffs against India are set at 50%, a move predicted to harm the Indian economy and also trigger inflationary pressures in the United States.
