Tragedy unfolded at the NTPC plant in Sipet, where a platform collapse during maintenance led to fatal consequences. According to available information, between 10 and 15 workers were present inside the boiler’s unit number 5 at the time of the accident. While NTPC initially confirmed only one death, sources indicate that the heavy structure collapse resulted in five seriously injured workers, three of whom succumbed to their injuries. A total of 10 to 15 workers were injured in the incident.
