Kartavya Bhavan will house offices of several key ministries, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Rural Development, MSME Ministry, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Department of Personnel and Training, and the office of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA). The building incorporates several advanced features. These include secure and IT-enabled workspaces, smart entry systems using ID cards, electronic surveillance, and a command center. It also features solar panels to generate 5.34 lakh units of electricity annually, solar water heaters to meet hot water needs, and e-vehicle charging stations to promote environmental sustainability.
