    A distressing incident has unfolded in Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh, where a CAF jawan has reportedly committed suicide. The jawan, stationed at the Bayaanar camp in the Naxal-affected area, was identified as Dinesh Singh Chandel.

    The incident occurred when Chandel allegedly shot himself using his service rifle. The gunshot proved fatal, leading to his immediate death. The incident caused immediate alarm and confusion throughout the camp. Upon hearing the gunshot, other personnel rushed to the location and discovered the platoon commander’s body.

    The police were notified and have initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the suicide. The body has been taken into custody for a post-mortem examination. The police are currently working to ascertain the reason behind the jawan’s decision. No suicide note was discovered. The entire incident has caused a state of alarm within the camp.
