During a recent cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, several significant decisions were made to improve infrastructure and public services in Chhattisgarh. Key among these was the amendment of the Chhattisgarh District Mineral Foundation Trust Rules, 2015, in line with the Ministry of Mines’ guidelines and PMKKKY-2024. A major focus will be on allocating a minimum of 70% of the trust funds to priority sectors such as water supply, environmental conservation, health, and education. The cabinet also approved the establishment of an archery training center in Jashpur to develop rural talent. New regulations for sand mining and transportation were approved to ensure better control, transparency, and fair pricing for the public. The meeting also addressed the valuation of agricultural land, streamlining the calculation method. Additionally, the cabinet approved the allocation of land for a cricket academy in Nava Raipur, aiming to develop the sport in the state.
