Chhattisgarh’s urban centers have shown significant progress in the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25, with 115 cities improving their rankings. This year’s assessment included 4,566 cities across India. Chhattisgarh’s strong performance is marked by 25 cities securing spots in the top 100. The capital, Raipur, has achieved a Seven-star rating and Water Plus status, showcasing its commitment to cleanliness. Several cities, including Bilaspur, Korba, and Bhilai, have been elevated to Water Plus status. The state’s dedication to sanitation is further demonstrated by the increase in Garbage-Free City star ratings and the achievement of ODF++ status by numerous urban bodies.
