The recent JPSC Civil Services Exam results have put the spotlight on DSP Vikas Chandra Srivastava and his educational venture, ‘DSP Ki Pathshala.’ This unique initiative has been instrumental in shaping the careers of over 170 individuals, who are now serving as officers in Jharkhand. The 2023 civil service exam saw 140 successful candidates who were mentored by Srivastava’s coaching program. Srivastava, a Jharkhand Police Service officer from the 2013 batch, also runs a popular YouTube channel titled ‘DSP Ki Pathshala.’ The channel boasts over 146,000 subscribers and features a wealth of study materials designed to assist aspirants in their preparation for civil service and other competitive exams. Srivastava, who comes from a family of educators, currently balances his demanding role at the Research Training School in Ranchi with his commitment to teaching. He conducts online classes, offering guidance on interview techniques and exam preparation. He was previously honored by the former Education Minister of Jharkhand for his contributions to education. Srivastava considers his father, a teacher, to be his guiding inspiration.
