The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has conducted a major operation in Janjgir-Champa, resulting in the arrest of a Patwari. The Patwari, Balmukund Rathore, posted at Gram Halaka No. 19, Dharashiv Putpura, was caught while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000. The ACB’s investigation was initiated following a complaint by Satendra Kumar Rathore, a local, who stated that the Patwari solicited a bribe for land correction and demarcation work. On Friday, the ACB set a trap and successfully apprehended the Patwari while he was receiving the bribe. This operation has caused considerable concern within government circles, and further inquiries are underway against the accused.
