Bilaspur is the second in the country in the category of three lakh to ten lakh population and Kumhari is the third cleanest city in the country in cities with a population of 20-50 thousand
Three cities of Chhattisgarh made a place in the Super Cleanliness League, Raipur is the promising clean city of the state

Raipur. July 17, 2025. In the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, seven cities of Chhattisgarh have showcased their cleanliness. Bilha Nagar Panchayat has now become the cleanest city in the country in cities with a population of less than 20 thousand. In the Swachh Survekshan, Bilha has secured the first position in the country in the category of cities with a population of less than 20 thousand. Bilaspur has got the second position in the whole country in cities with a population of three lakh to ten lakh and Kumhari has got the third position in cities with a population of 20 thousand to 50 thousand.
President Smt. Draupadi Murmu today awarded these three urban bodies along with a total of seven urban bodies of the state who performed excellently in the Swachh Survekshan in a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Urban Administration and Development Shri Arun Sao, Mayors, Presidents and officials of the concerned bodies received these awards. Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Manohar Lal and Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Tokhan Sahu also attended the award ceremony.
Ambikapur, Patan, Vishrampur and Raipur have also enhanced the pride of Chhattisgarh at the national level in the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 of the Government of India. Ambikapur, Patan and Vishrampur have made their place in the new category ‘Swachhta Super League’ (SSL) included for the first time in the Swachh Survekshan. This honor was given to those cities which have been in the top three at least once in the last three years and are included in the top 20 cities in the current year. Ambikapur has secured its place in the SSL in the category of 50 thousand to three lakh population and Patan and Vishrampur in the category of cities with a population of less than 20 thousand. In addition to this, the capital Raipur has received the award of ‘Promising Clean City’ of Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while congratulating all the winning urban bodies, said that this achievement is a moment of pride for the state. Appreciating the collective efforts of the citizens, local bodies and administration towards cleanliness in these cities, he said that these awards will also inspire other cities of the state to make their city beautiful and clean.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Urban Administration and Development Shri Arun Sao also congratulated the awarded urban bodies today and said that this is not only an honor for Chhattisgarh, but also proof of continuous efforts towards cleanliness. In the coming time, other urban bodies will also receive national awards for cleanliness. From urban governments to state and central governments, they are working continuously with many innovations to make cities clean, beautiful and convenient.
