Gyalshing police in Sikkim have arrested a school teacher and two additional individuals following allegations of sexual assault involving a minor. The victim, a Class 7 student, accused the teacher and the others of abuse. Acting on a complaint lodged by the school principal on July 14, the police took the three suspects into custody under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. In other news, a fire in a Hyderabad residential building resulted in the rescue of five people. The blaze, which occurred due to a short circuit, was quickly contained by fire services.
