The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has issued an order affecting B.Ed teachers who were terminated but are now being appointed to the Assistant Teacher Science Lab position. The order states that these teachers will not receive credit for their previous service when calculating seniority. This means the years they served as teachers with B.Ed qualifications will not be factored in.
This order applies to all districts except Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, and Janjgir-Champa. The DEOs have been directed to create new employee codes and service books for the affected teachers. The prior service of the terminated Assistant Teachers will not be included in the calculation for the current position.
