Khunti Police have made a significant breakthrough by arresting four members of the banned People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in Jharkhand. Weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operation. Those arrested are identified as Pawan Lohra, Vicky Lohra, Arjun Lohra (also known as Ishwar or Pecha), and Arpit Kerketta. The arrests were made near a government school in Birhu Uraon Toli. The police seized a pistol, eight bullets, two loaded magazines, a knife, a motorcycle, and a scooter. According to SP Manish Toppo, the suspects were apprehended with weapons, and were suspected of planning an act. The four accused have been remanded to judicial custody. The police team included various officers from the Khunti Police Station. The investigation revealed that the suspects used the Signal mobile app to communicate with PLFI members, receive instructions, and coordinate their extortion and intimidation activities. The arrested individuals have also confessed to their involvement in several crimes, including firing at a business on the Ranchi-Khunti road and at a land dealer’s residence.
