Newly Married Couple Killed in Hit-and-Run in Durg

A hit-and-run accident in Durg district resulted in the deaths of a newly married couple. The incident involved an unidentified truck that collided with the couple’s scooter, causing them to die on the spot. Shivkumar Kurre and his wife, Muskan Kurre, residents of Bhilai, were returning from a dinner when the accident occurred near Khursipar. The police were notified and arrived at the scene, taking custody of the bodies and sending them for post-mortem. Following the tragic event, relatives and family members expressed their anger by blocking the highway. The protesters sought swift action against the driver of the truck involved in the deadly crash. Law enforcement officials were able to mediate and resolve the situation.
