To combat the growing number of road accidents, the Balod district administration has introduced a strict rule: petrol will not be dispensed to motorcyclists who are not wearing helmets. This directive applies to all petrol pumps across the district. Law enforcement is focused on educating residents about safety, using a mix of advice and, where necessary, financial penalties to ensure public safety. Approximately 35 petrol pumps operate in the urban and rural areas of Balod district.
