Chirag Paswan: ‘How Many Divisions?’ – Reacts to Thane Language Assault

Chirag Paswan, the Union Minister, has condemned the assault in Thane, Maharashtra, where a shop owner was allegedly attacked for not speaking Marathi. Paswan, speaking from Vaishali, Bihar, questioned the increasing divisions within the country, often seen in the name of language, region, and other factors. While supporting the pride associated with one’s mother tongue, he urged for sensitivity and respect for those who may not understand it. He also accused certain leaders of promoting divisive agendas. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also addressed the issue, warning of legal repercussions for those engaging in violence based on language.
