Devotees are preparing to throng Baba Dham in Deoghar as the Shravani Mela 2025 approaches. The grand festival is scheduled to begin on July 11th, with both the district and temple administrations having completed their arrangements. The primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and convenience of the pilgrims attending the Mela.
As the Mela begins, the practice of direct physical worship of the Baba will be discontinued. Devotees will offer their prayers using the Argha method. Temple priest Ravi Pandey anticipates some changes in the management of the Mela. He highlights the significance of the chants of ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ in the experience of the pilgrims, emphasizing the need to ensure they are not disrupted by organizational issues. He stresses that all devotees should be able to offer their prayers without unnecessary hassle.
Pandey raises a concern about the lack of information regarding temple closing times, which often causes inconvenience to the pilgrims. He also suggests disseminating information about the closing times, prayer timings, and the details of Baba’s adornment. He explains that these details will help in the preservation of traditions and ensure a pleasant experience for the devotees. He hopes the experience is positive and filled with devotion.
