A tragic incident in Jharkhand’s Simdega district resulted in a man’s death at the hands of his son. The son, Celestine Kindo, is accused of murdering his father, Sylvester Kindo, with an axe, reportedly due to a disagreement over the sale of the family’s bull. The mother, Basanti Kindo, was also attacked while attempting to intervene but survived the assault. The father’s death occurred at home. Police responded to the scene and arrested Celestine Kindo. The event has caused distress throughout the community. The situation echoes a similar event in Gumla district where a son murdered his parents with an axe following a family conflict.
