Bajaj has announced plans to update the KTM 390 Adventure X, incorporating electronic rider aids currently found in the premium 390 Adventure model. As a result of these significant updates, dealerships have stopped taking orders for the current 390 Adventure X, with the updated version scheduled to arrive in showrooms within weeks.
The 390 Adventure X will soon benefit from all the electronic features and rider aids available on the top-spec model. This includes cornering ABS and traction control, supported by an IMU, along with three riding modes: Rain, Street, and Off-road. These modes will adjust throttle sensitivity, power output, and the degree of ABS and traction control intervention.
Cruise control will be included, which will benefit riders on longer journeys. This update will standardize cruise control on all new generation 390cc KTM 390 models. The bike will keep its existing mechanical components, which means the non-adjustable, long-travel suspension, and the 19/17-inch cast alloy wheels will remain unchanged. The 373cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will continue to produce the same performance figures, delivering 46 HP and 39 NM.
The KTM 390 Adventure X is currently priced at Rs 2.91 lakh and is available in orange and white. With the addition of new features, a price increase of around Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 is anticipated, which seems reasonable given the added hardware and software. The updated KTM 390 Adventure X is set to be a more well-rounded package.
