Raipur, June 24, 2025/ During the 25th meeting of the Central Regional Council held in Varanasi, it was informed that the next meeting would be organized in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. This decision is being seen as a historic initiative towards bringing the remote and challenging regions of the country into the mainstream of national policy-making. The organization of a meeting of this level in a region like Bastar is a strong symbol of the inclusive development and good governance policy of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.

During the meeting, senior officials expressed hope that by the next council meeting, significant and decisive progress would have been made in the direction of Naxal eradication in Bastar. With this belief, the council has set a goal to present the Bastar region as a model of peace, stability, and development. This announcement is proof of better coordination and collective will between the state and the center.

Welcoming this decision, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the organization of such a high-level meeting in Bastar is not only a matter of pride for the region, but it will also provide new energy to the development there. He expressed confidence that with the cooperation of the central government, Bastar is now moving towards becoming a symbol of possibilities, not of conflict.
