The district of Rajnandgaon is experiencing a concerning rise in coronavirus infections. The administration has heightened its vigilance following three deaths in the last twenty days. While the deceased were already battling serious illnesses, the coronavirus infection significantly worsened their health.

Despite the presence of just two active COVID-19 cases currently, the administration is taking preemptive steps to curb the potential spread of the virus.

A high-level meeting was held, which included health department officials and representatives from the district and private hospitals. A key decision was to establish separate, well-equipped wards in all hospitals to care for COVID-19 patients.

Citizens are being urged to comply with health guidelines, including mask usage, frequent handwashing, and staying away from large gatherings. The administration has also communicated that further restrictions could be enforced if necessary.
