The TNPL 2025 witnessed an amusing moment when a shot that barely traveled 30 yards resulted in the batsmen scoring four runs. This incident occurred during a match between Dindigul Dragons and Siechem Madurai Panthers. The Dragons’ captain, Ravichandran Ashwin, was visibly angered by the fielding errors that followed. The situation unfolded during the 19th over, highlighting blunders reminiscent of casual cricket. The batsman hit the ball towards cover, where Ashwin was fielding, but a series of errors, including missed throws and misfields, allowed the batsmen to complete four runs. The video of the comical event spread rapidly across social media. Regardless of the fielding struggles, Dindigul Dragons won the match by a significant margin. Ashwin scored a quick 49, and Shivam Singh’s stellar performance, scoring 86 runs, ensured the victory for the Dragons.
