A horrifying incident has unfolded in the Kamaltoli village of Gumla, Jharkhand. Baliram Khadia is accused of murdering a woman and injuring multiple others in a violent outburst. Khadia went to Anil Khadia’s house, ostensibly to ask for water. When Anil’s wife, Reena Devi, went to get him water, Khadia attacked her with a ‘tangi,’ causing her death. Khadia then attacked two other women and a young child. When confronted by villagers, he jumped into a well, but was later rescued and arrested by the police. The police are investigating, with mental instability being considered as a possible explanation for Khadia’s actions.
