A Digital Video Recorder (DVR) has been recovered by the Gujarat ATS from the debris of the Air India flight that crashed in Ahmedabad on Thursday. The plane, identified as flight Al171, was carrying 242 passengers and was destined for London. The crash occurred in the Meghaninagar area shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad International Airport. The ATS confirmed the DVR’s recovery and stated that the FSL team would be involved in the investigation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the crash site, assessing the situation and meeting with officials. He also visited the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, where he met with the lone survivor, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, who is a British national of Indian origin. The Prime Minister offered his condolences to the families of the victims and assured them of support. The aircraft involved was a Boeing Dreamliner 787-8.
