    A Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft operating as Air India flight AI-171 crashed in Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff, en route to London’s Gatwick airport. The plane carried 242 people, including crew. Boeing has announced it is in communication with Air India and ready to provide support. The FAA is also involved, coordinating with the NTSB. According to initial reports, the aircraft departed from Runway 23 and issued a mayday call before contact was lost. The crash site is outside the airport perimeter, and witnesses reported heavy black smoke. Prime Minister Modi expressed deep sorrow and assured assistance to those affected.
