The Jeep Grand Cherokee Signature Edition has been launched, marking a special, limited-production version of Jeep’s flagship SUV in India. Priced higher than the Grand Cherokee Limited (O), the Signature Edition offers a host of premium upgrades to justify the increased cost.
Key enhancements include motorized side steps for improved ease of access, providing greater convenience. Rear passengers will enjoy twin 11.6-inch Android-based infotainment touchscreens, complete with built-in speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AUX compatibility. Furthermore, the Signature Edition comes equipped with integrated front and rear dash cams.
Mechanically, the Grand Cherokee Signature Edition is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 272 horsepower and 400 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels through Jeep’s four-wheel-drive system.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Signature Edition enters a competitive segment, competing with luxury SUVs like the Volvo XC90, Range Rover Velar, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, and BMW X5, some of which offer seating configurations for up to seven passengers.
