    Air India flight AI-171, bound for London, crashed at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport on June 12, 2025, during takeoff. The flight had 242 people on board. The aircraft, a Boeing 787, crashed outside the airport boundary after issuing a MAYDAY call and losing contact with air traffic control. Authorities have mobilized emergency response teams, including the NDRF, and are focusing on rescue and relief operations. Government officials, including the Aviation Minister and the Union Home Minister, have pledged full support.
