A police officer was killed and two others injured in Patna after a Scorpio SUV, displaying a BJP flag, ran over them during a vehicle checking operation. The incident happened late Wednesday night on Atal Path where Patna police were conducting routine checks. When a Scorpio car with a BJP flag approached, the driver ignored the police’s instructions and instead drove into the officers. The collision led to the immediate injury of SI Deepak Mani, ASI Awadhesh Kumar, and Constable Komal. Constable Komal succumbed to her injuries at a nearby hospital. The SI and ASI are currently receiving treatment. Following the incident, the driver of the Scorpio tried to flee the scene but crashed the vehicle. Police officials, including Patna SSP Avakash Kumar, arrived at the scene and apprehended two suspects.
