A passenger aboard a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru had a unique travel experience: they were stuck inside the lavatory for the entire journey. The airline has apologized and offered a refund, but the incident has become a trending topic online.

The trapped passenger was finally freed after the flight landed in Bengaluru. Ground staff and engineers were required to open the door after it malfunctioned and locked mid-flight.

The event took place on a Monday night flight, which was delayed by two hours, taking off at 2:10 AM instead of the scheduled 10:55 PM. A passenger on seat 14D entered the restroom shortly after takeoff and became trapped due to a jammed door lock, causing mid-air difficulty.

Crew members attempted to open the door, but their efforts were unsuccessful. They decided to pass a handwritten note under the door to comfort the passenger, requesting the passenger to remain seated on the toilet seat until landing in Bengaluru.

A photo of the crew’s note quickly went viral. Many users found the situation comical, while others appreciated the handwriting. The flight landed in Bengaluru around 3:45 AM. The airline has offered an apology for the inconvenience.
