In a recent discussion, former Indian cricketer Saba Karim shared his views on the upcoming IPL Qualifier 2 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). He favored MI to win, highlighting their strong form and excellent bowling attack. He also expressed his support for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), hoping they would clinch the IPL title, particularly for their star player Virat Kohli. Karim’s comments were made during the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ event held in Delhi. He pointed out that MI’s dominance and recent performance make them the favorites. He also mentioned the contrasting fortunes of PBKS, who despite a strong league stage, faced a significant loss to RCB. On RCB, Karim acknowledged Kohli’s outstanding performance, which has been a highlight of the season. Furthermore, Karim discussed the forthcoming India tour of England, anticipating a good showing from the young team led by Shubman Gill. He also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support for emerging talents, particularly Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who had an impressive IPL season.
