Dr. Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta, the BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, expressed his dissatisfaction with the room allocation process at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. Despite having confirmed two rooms, he discovered upon arrival that only one was available. As a form of protest, he opted to sit on the floor and eat his breakfast in the reception area. The MLA questioned the functionality of the Jharkhand Bhawan, constructed with significant state funds, if it couldn’t meet the accommodation needs of Jharkhand’s MLAs. He has called upon Chief Minister Hemant Soren to rectify the situation by taking action against those responsible for the inadequate management and ensure better provisions for the state’s legislators. The modern Jharkhand Bhawan, a seven-story building completed in September 2024, is equipped with contemporary amenities and comprises 50 guest rooms, along with suites for VIP guests and officials.
