A five-year-old girl was tragically raped during a wedding celebration in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The young victim was lured away from the event by a man who offered her mangoes, only to sexually assault her in a nearby garden. The incident has sparked outrage in the local community.

The girl’s parents discovered the horrific act after she returned home, visibly traumatized and bleeding. She was immediately taken to a local clinic and then transferred to a hospital in Ranchi for more advanced care. The accused has been identified as Karmadev Urav.

The community’s anger boiled over, leading to a severe beating of the suspect by local residents. Police intervened to take the accused into custody. Authorities have registered a case against Urav, including charges under the POCSO Act, following a complaint from the family. The incident occurred in a village within the jurisdiction of the Chano police station, about 30 kilometers from Ranchi. The alleged perpetrator was reportedly under the influence of alcohol during the event.
