    Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today attended the concluding ceremony of Kabir Jayanti Mahotsav and Gau Gram Jan Jagran Yatra organized in Sonpari village of Abhanpur development block. He extended his greetings to the gathering on Kabir Jayanti. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced Rs 20 lakh for Gurukul Bhawan, renaming the Gaushala in the state as ‘Gaudham’, and construction of a boundary wall in Sonpari School. Along with this, he performed the Bhoomipujan for the construction of a community building, construction of a drain from Bhutahi Para to the ashram and construction of a CC road from Sonpari to Khilora main road to the ashram.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our land of Chhattisgarh is blessed, where the words of Kabir Sahib Ji have had a deep impact. Saint Kabir always preached compassion for living beings. Not only the followers of Kabirpanth, but also those whose lives have been deeply affected by the pure words of Kabir Sahib Ji, have contributed to the formation of the state’s traditions. He said that Kabir Sahib dedicated his entire life to public awareness. He continuously showed the right path to the society through his teachings. Kabir Ji used to talk about public awareness in his couplets and believed that life is very precious and should be used meaningfully.

    In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai described the humanist ideas of Saint Kabir as relevant even today and emphasized on cow service and social unity. He extended his best wishes to the representatives of Gaushalas who participated in the Gau Gram Jan Jagran Rally and said that this is a very meaningful effort. Shri Sai said that land is being identified for the establishment of a Gau-Abhayaranya.

    On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that Chhattisgarh is known as a leading state in the country in the field of rice production, steel, cement, aluminum, and electricity and coal supply. Dr. Singh said that in the coming time, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, Chhattisgarh will be included in the leading states of the country.

    Cabinet Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary said that saints like Kabir, Tulsidas showed a new direction to the society. No matter how much we progress economically, only the saint tradition can give direction and values to the society. Shri Choudhary said that the ideas of Kabir gave a new direction to the society and even in today’s materialistic era, his ideas are equally relevant.

    Kabirpanthi Jagatguru Shri Asang Dev Ji highlighted the importance of the words of Kabir Sahib. Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Gau Seva Aayog Chairman Shri Bisesar Patel, Abhanpur MLA Shri Indrakumar Sahu, MLA Shri Kiran Dev and other dignitaries were present at the function.
