A devastating incident unfolded in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, where a five-year-old girl was raped at a wedding. The accused lured the child with the promise of mangoes, taking her to an isolated garden where he committed the act.
The family realized the gravity of the situation when the injured child returned home, covered in blood. She was immediately taken to a local CSC for initial treatment. Due to the seriousness of her condition, she was referred to RIMS hospital in Ranchi for further medical care.
Following the incident, locals expressed their anger by severely beating the accused, Karmadev Urav, before police arrived to take him into custody. Authorities have filed a case against him, including charges under the POSCO Act, based on the family’s complaint.
