Russia on Wednesday stated army drills in Moscow-annexed Crimea had ended and that squaddies have been returning to their garrisons, an afternoon after it introduced a primary troop pullback from Ukraine’s borders.
“Devices of the Southern Army District, having finished their participation in tactical workouts, are shifting to their everlasting deployment issues,” Moscow’s defence ministry stated in a commentary.
State tv confirmed photographs of army devices crossing a bridge linking the Russia-controlled peninsula to the mainland.

It comes an afternoon after Moscow stated it was once pulling again one of the troops deployed on its neighbour’s borders.
