    New Delhi. A high-level all-party meeting was held at Annexe in Parliament House on Thursday over the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh lasted about two hours, in which Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Leaders of major parties including Jaishankar, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and MP Rahul Gandhi attended.

    During the meeting, all the leaders strongly condemned the attack and showed solidarity on this subject. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi told the media after the meeting, “This is the time of solidarity. The opposition is completely together in any action of the government.” Rahul will visit Anantnag on Friday and meet the injured.

    At the beginning of the meeting, two minutes of silence were kept while paying tribute to the people who were martyred in the Pahalgam attack.

    Air Force started operation ‘invasion’

    Strengthening security preparations, the Indian Air Force has started a special exercise in the name of ‘Operation Access’. It includes Rafael squadrons at Ambala and Hashimara. This practice is being done with the aim of increasing the capacity of accurate and strategic attacks on enemy’s bases in the grounds and hilly areas.

    Meanwhile, India demonstrated their military strength by conducting missile tests from the sea. Launched from INS Surat, this missile was able to successfully penetrate the target.

    Important decisions of the Government of India after the terrorist attack:

    The government has taken five concrete steps against Pakistan to support terrorism:

    Indus Water Treaty postponed – Ban on the 1960 Treaty on Pakistan’s terrorist support. Attari-Wagah Border closed-Instructions to all passengers to return before 1 May. SAARC Visa Scheme canceled – Ban Pakistani citizens entry into India, order to leave the country in 48 hours. Military officers of Pak High Commission were expelled – ‘Persona Non Grata’ declared, instructions to return from India. Staff cuts in embassies – The number of employees in both countries will be reduced from 55 to 30.

    Opposition and international support

    Ghulam Nabi Azad said that all the communities of the country are united against terrorism. Owaisi, while appealing to wear a black band during the Namaz, said to give a message of unity.

    On this incident, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke to Prime Minister Modi over the phone and expressed solidarity with India. He condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the victims.

    Air India has informed that alternative routes will be used for flights to North America and Europe, as Pakistan’s airspace has been temporarily closed.
