    Raipur, March 7, 2025 / A grand Mahtari Vandan Conference and a state-level women’s fair will be organized on March 8 at the Science College ground in Raipur on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will be the chief guest at this program and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh will preside over the program. Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade along with all cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, Raipur Mayor and other dignitaries will be present at the program.

    13th Installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to be Distributed

    On the successful completion of one year of the Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Chief Minister Shri Sai will disburse the 13th installment of the scheme to approximately 70 lakh women of the state. It is noteworthy that the first installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana was transferred to the bank accounts of married women on March 10, 2024, in the virtual presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. So far, an amount of Rs 7,838 crore has been distributed to the mothers and sisters of the state in 12 installments.

    ‘Samman Suvidha Pranali’ Launched for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers

    On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai will launch the “Samman Suvidha Pranali” for the payment of honorarium to Anganwadi workers and helpers. This will be the first time that the Chief Minister himself will directly pay the honorarium to Anganwadi workers and helpers through a digital and centralized system.

    In this system, the regular attendance of workers and helpers will be recorded through a facial recognition system, based on which they will be paid honorarium directly from the state government. This system will ensure accuracy, transparency and timeliness in the payment of honorarium to Anganwadi workers.

    Chhattisgarh to Become the First State to Determine the Standard Operating Procedure for ‘Sakhi One Stop Center’

    On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai will launch an important digital facility for women who are victims of oppression and in distress, under which they will be able to register complaints online and through mobile apps.

    In addition, Chief Minister Shri Sai will also launch the portal of the Child Marriage Free Chhattisgarh campaign, the Infra Portal and the Establishment Portal. Along with this, the newly constructed building of the Regional Women’s Training Institute located in Bilaspur will also be inaugurated.

    To make women’s safety more effective, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of “Sakhi One Stop Center” will also be released. With this, Chhattisgarh will become the first state in the country to implement a prescribed SOP for the smooth operation of Sakhi One Stop Center.

    Those Making Outstanding Contributions in Women Empowerment will be Honored

    In the program, 32 outstanding Anganwadi workers, 3 best Sakhi One Stop Centers, 2 Nava Bihan Yojana’s women protection officers and other women who have achieved specific achievements in women empowerment will be honored.

    State Level Women’s Fair: A Platform for Women Entrepreneurship and Self-Reliance

    The Department of Women and Child Development is organizing a state-level women’s fair from 4 to 8 March 2025. In this fair, more than 100 stalls have been set up for the display and sale of products manufactured by women self-help groups and women entrepreneurs.

    Women self-help group women from various districts of the state are displaying and selling their produced materials. Along with this, special stalls have also been set up for the publicity of the schemes run by the Department of Women and Child Development. Under this event, newly elected public representatives and women group representatives from across the state have been specially invited, so that they can closely see and understand various efforts related to women entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

    Mahakumbh of Women Empowerment: Participation of More Than 50,000 Women

    More than 50,000 mothers, sisters and daughters from across the state will participate in the Grand Mahtari Vandan Conference and the State Level Women’s Fair. Through this grand event, an effort is being made to give a new direction to women empowerment, social upliftment and economic self-reliance.
