Rs 1700 crores were raised
Donors in this tier of packages will receive two tickets to a dinner with Vice President-elect Vance and six tickets to a “candlelight dinner” with Trump. A target has been set to raise a total of Rs 2 thousand crores.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) oversees rules related to inaugural fund-raising. As set forth in Section 510, Section 36 of the United States Code. According to this rule, the committee is required to file a report with the FEC within 90 days of its inauguration. In which details of any donation of $200 or more have to be given. The report should include the amount of the donation, the date, and the name and address of the donor.
Donation has to be made to a registered charity within 90 days.
There are no restrictions on the amount of the donation nor any restrictions on how the funds will be used. Trump’s committee has set the figure at $1 million. For donors who want maximum access to the new President and his entourage. The new president’s team is not allowed to accept donations from foreign nationals under the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971. Similarly, foreign nationals have also been barred from making or attempting to make such donations. Once the committee receives a donation, it has to donate the amount to a registered charity within 90 days. However, it is not clear how this money is spent.
