Raipur, January 18, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeodhar Say has announced the fulfillment of another guarantee of Modi Ji. Now, the rural landless laborers of the state will be provided with ₹10,000 annually. The Chief Minister Shri Say made this announcement today at a program organized in Sakti district headquarters to mark the completion of one year of the state government. He said that this will benefit 5,62,000 laborers in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Say also announced the development of Damudarha in Sakti district as a tourist destination on this occasion. He said that development works worth approximately ₹170 crore will give new momentum to the development of Sakti district. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Say blessed 15 couples who got married under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeodhar Say said that this auspicious occasion also coincides with the Maha Kumbh being held in Prayagraj. This auspicious coincidence has happened after 144 years. This is a good opportunity to take the blessings of this great tradition of Sanatan Dharma. Our Chhattisgarh pilgrims should also take advantage of this; for this, our government has made special arrangements in an area of four and a half acres at the fairground. Arrangements for accommodation and food have been made there for the devotees from our state who are going there. In the Chhattisgarh pavilion in Prayagraj, we have uniquely showcased our Chhattisgarh culture, which is being greatly appreciated by people.
Chief Minister Shri Say said that we are continuously working to fulfill the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In the first cabinet meeting, 18 lakh houses were approved. In the first phase, 8.47 lakh houses were approved for construction. Many beneficiaries are now moving into their homes. Recently, Union Minister of Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan came to Nagpura in Durg, where he approved 3.5 lakh additional houses. Along with this, the survey work for Awas Plus has also been started. The eligibility criteria for PM Awas has been increased. Now, those who have a two-wheeler, 2.5 acres of irrigated land or 5 acres of unirrigated land, and a monthly income of up to ₹15,000 can also apply for housing. An online app has been launched to simplify the housing approval process. This will allow anyone to apply from home.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sav said that the people of Chhattisgarh were waiting for the development works, and we are now completing them at a rapid pace. Public money is being used for public works. ₹77 crore has been given for 6 urban bodies in Sakti district in the last one year. Paddy is being purchased at ₹3100, money from Mahatari Vandana is being received every month, and house construction is happening rapidly; this has given new speed to rural development. The program was also addressed by MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde. MLA Shri Ramkumar Yadav and many public representatives and a large number of common citizens were present on this occasion.
