Ranchi. The government of Jharkhand is taking the initiative to change the system of collection of land revenue. While the Right to Service Act will be implemented in government offices to settle land related matters, the system of bar code will be implemented to deduct land rent receipts.
Jharkhand Government’s Land Revenue Minister Deepak Birua held a virtual review meeting with the departmental secretaries and all the divisional commissioners on Thursday regarding this new proposed system. He said that this system will prove helpful in providing convenience to the common people in land related matters and in increasing the revenue of the government. Minister Birua said that people have to make rounds from the employees’ office to the court to get the rent receipt for their own land. Therefore, now the bar code system will be implemented. With this, people will be able to pay land tax and receive receipts through their mobile phones.
