Amit Pandey, Khairagarh. Durg Division Commissioner Satyanarayan Rathore and Collector Chandrakant Verma conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Higher Secondary School located at Bazaar Ataria in Khairagarh development block this afternoon. This inspection created a stir not only in the school administration but in the entire area. When the Commissioner and Collector reached the school, they saw that children were roaming around in the premises and many teachers were absent from their duty. Seeing this situation, Commissioner Rathore expressed deep displeasure. Taking immediate action, he directed to issue show cause notices to the absent teachers.
During the inspection, the Commissioner interacted with the children and inquired about their education. Keeping in mind the upcoming board examinations, he motivated the children to come to school regularly and maintain discipline. Also gave strict instructions to the Principal that indiscipline will not be tolerated in the school.
Strict action against teachers’ absence
Show cause notices have been issued to 6 teachers found absent during inspection. These include the names of lecturer Ramprakash Sen, Uma Temburkar, Hirasingh Temburkar, Manju Kosare, exercise teacher Anita Singh and Assistant Grade-03 Khomeshwar Das Baghel. The Commissioner also ensured that the attendance registers of children and teachers in the school are regularly recorded and immediate action is taken against any negligence. He directed the Principal to improve the school arrangements and make every possible effort to provide better education to the children. This surprise inspection is not only a strong message for teachers, but also an important step towards improving the regional education system.
